P-Secretary: an open-source personal secretary built with Ileen
October 22, 2026
P-Secretary is a public, self-hosted personal secretary built end to end with Ileen. It brings email and messaging into one assistant, backed by a PostgreSQL archive, background workers and a web dashboard. The complete source is available in the Hypaz-AI/p-secretary repository.

What the project does
P-Secretary collects communications, stores them in PostgreSQL and lets an AI agent work with them through typed tools. It supports natural-language conversation, inbox triage and a scheduled daily digest. Its dashboard provides views for activity, agent runs, AI permissions, budget, settings and archived files.
The agent can search and read messages, find tasks and notes, and prepare calendar events or email drafts. Explicit Telegram commands are required to confirm calendar changes or send a prepared email.
What this demonstrates
The repository documents an integrated product rather than a standalone code sample: a containerized application, durable workers, database-backed workflows, external connectors, a dashboard, configuration and operational guidance. The README also describes concrete boundaries around the agent:
- Database queries are read-only and restricted to the
agent.*views. - Changes to tasks and notes require an exact user instruction.
- Calendar updates are proposed for confirmation; email remains a draft until explicitly sent.
- External actions are recorded before I/O, and uncertain outcomes are not blindly retried.
- The model does not receive the OpenRouter key; requests pass through a local gateway with budget controls.
These are the safeguards and limitations described by the project; they are not a claim that AI output is infallible. The repository cautions that the AI can make mistakes and that content is sent to the configured provider.
Public evidence
The public repository README credits Ileen, explains the product and its
limitations, and links to the operating and architecture documentation. The
project is released under AGPL-3.0 with an additional attribution condition in
its NOTICE; review those terms before reusing or deploying it.
P-Secretary is a proof of Ileen’s ability to take a product from requirements through implementation into a documented, publicly inspectable application.
